Competition or a chance to grow together

We get asked quite a bit about a new brewpub trying to open up, Yellow City Co-op BrewPub.

First question is what do we think about the whole idea? Well to honest I'm glad it is them and not us! Seriously though we want them to succeed. We look forward to some great beers and food. They have a long road ahead of them. With the right help they will do great.

Second question is if we like the competition? Competition is good for any business. Without competition you have nothing to really gauge your success on. Competition makes us focus on the quality of our beer. We can't slack and neither will they.

We have a unique opportunity here in Amarillo to grow the craft beer culture. We have to work together to make this work well for each of us. Working together brings great beer to a thirsty consumer. We look forward to working with them in the future and maybe even showing them up now and again!

To find out more about Yellow City Co-op BrewPub follow them on Facebook or their website.

Here's to great beer! Prost!
